Will they use their brains and see the naming convention in place that makes finding things so easy and ensure they maintain that standard to continue making things easy to find? of course not, the put in any cryptic drivel that makes no sense and is a different way depending on the moons cycle and how they feel so I have to continually fix up to ensure it stays standardised. They all use my system of standardisation & it has vastly improved their speed at finding things. 12 months in and people who can work out subnet masking in their head still look blankly when you mention flexible asset and tell them the f*cking password link in the menu on the left hand side.ĥ5 times I have mentioned that you need a config with a password for a physical device - still waiting for one to happen. So now that spreads to the support desk who see there is no repercussions to putting in a modicum of effort. You seem pretty damn fast responding to memes but somehow any question on documentation is missed. Well f*ck me, could you not have taken 5 seconds of your precious guru time to give me a one word answer when I asked the first time. I found that relatively smart people seem to intentionally become really dumb when it comes to supplying documentation to the point I sometimes think they are trying to undermine having effective documentation.Įxcuses I have seen from senior techs after asking for the same information (written in teams for everyone to see) 4 or 5 times - "why are we documenting something that is changing soon" Now, when I call this person, I can actually have five tabs hold up with different articles regarding this issue and we can just bang out these supposed solutions one by one.ĭo you find you get a lot of blow back from existing techs, there is always a complication on how they cannot give the person the details for access to devices & other items that need to be documented? Some brain dead idiot will just submit a ticket that says "computer don't work" and now we have to waste three or four minutes actually getting to the bottom of what the real problem is and going through basic troubleshooting steps before moving into more complicated ones when we could have a dispatcher who does all of the leg work beforehand and figures out that the issue is that Adobe Acrobat is giving this weird error message nobody has seen before. We have tickets that are going on 4 days completely untouched because we just simply do not have the time and we are wasting too much of it trying to gather basic information about what the issue actually is. this absolutely needs to change button management refuses to listen. I've been promoted to sysadmin and sometimes it gets so bad that both myself and one of the projects guys who used to work out desk and get pulled off of whatever internal work we are doing to answer phone calls. My technicians are completely slammed from the minute they log into the phones until the second they log out. This is a win-win because after maybe three or four months of doing this, they would become technically adept enough to start doing regular help desk work and we could convert them to help desk work for a few more dollars an hour and then higher in a new dispatch person. We could literally just hire somebody who has their A+ certification with no other experience for like $13 an hour and have them be our dispatch. I've been trying to get our management onboard with this idea for months. My workload is less, everyone else is much less stressed, and life is very good. Possibly one of the best hires I've done and we're only 2 weeks in. All jobs are completed within SLAs, clients are way happier, and right now - on a Friday, we actually have time to get internal work done. I decided hiring someone to dispatch jobs, check in on technicians and document stuff was a good idea, so we hired someone for 24 hours a week to answer phones, make sure all jobs were triaged correctly, dispatched and completed and that after the job was finished, that we collated all "documentation" (which ranged from text documents, things written on post-it-notes and forms submitted via the company iPads) into SiPortal.Ģ weeks into the new year and we're about 80% more efficient. We pushed for techs to ensure everything was being put into the system, but it just wasn't happening. Techs were slammed, people were stressed and jobs were taking way too long to get done, tickets weren't being put in and we had instances of jobs being lost. Last year, we had major issues with meeting SLAs and getting documentation done on time. Just thought I'd share something we decided to try this year that's worked really well for us.

In the case of the Fey Wanderer, you’ll want to switch that up. Sure, Dexterity and Wisdom are both important for Rangers, but Wisdom tends to play “second fiddle” in most character builds. It powers your most important spells and enhances most of your features. While Dexterity is typically the archetypal Ranger’s most important ability score, the Fey Wanderer relies heavily on Wisdom. Additionally, gaining teleportation spells means they can quickly get in and out of situations as they need to. In true Fey spirit, these Rangers have a strong focus on manipulating the minds of others with clever charms. Pairing that with a high Wisdom for things like the Insight skill means you can certainly be quite the clever one! They’re still solid combatants and have plenty of magical ability to boost their own performance and keep enemies confused.īut Fey Wanderers also get a nifty bonus to their Charisma checks that makes them adequate as a Face for the party. However, the Fey Wanderer takes a much more versatile approach to the Ranger class. Generally speaking, Rangers tend to work best as specialists. You can find the Fey Wanderer Ranger in Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything alongside the Swarmkeeper Ranger. With martial prowess, tricks, and charms for days, the Fey Wanderer is excellent at keeping friends and foes alike guessing! Just as the Feywild can bring comfort and joy, it can also bring gloom and ruin upon those who are not welcome. However, that doesn’t mean that they should be underestimated when defending themselves or those they care about! In true Fey fashion, these Rangers tend to be whimsical and jolly. Regardless of how it happened, the Fey Wanderer now stands between the Material Plane and the Feywild. This might have been a reward for saving a Fey creature from hunters/bandits, swimming in the water of a magical spring, or some other such event. But on the other hand, his story will always be somewhat shadowed, tied to the fact that the console that created him lost that war. He also continues to persevere in the video game world, with a new title, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice, hitting the Nintendo 3DS this year.įorever an underdog with a fierce bite, Sega’s flagship mascot still survives through the nostalgia of gamers, the excitement of die-hard fans, the uniqueness of his character, and his history at the front lines of a war between video game consoles. The mascot currently stars in a Cartoon Network animated show that’s heading into its second season this fall, his fifth show since 1992. Many have disappeared from the scene altogether, the victims of corporate upheaval, changing tastes, or maybe just too many poorly selling games in a row.Ĭonversely, Sega has sold more than 140 million copies of Sonic games across the franchise’s 25-year run-and he’s still going. In that time, video game mascot characters-Bubsy, Spyro the Dragon, Toejam & Earl, Crash Bandicoot, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel, Conker the Squirrel-have risen alongside him, but very few have had the endurance that Sonic has. In 2016, Sega will mark the 25th anniversary of the first appearance of Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic was fast he had attitude, rising to video game icon status by tearing through levels like a pinball, at a speed that was unseen in the early ‘90s. He risks his life for the entrapped wildlife, and instead of sticking around to receive glory, he's off to save another life. “He believes in himself and is a team leader. Heroism is what Hamilton says draws him, like millions of other fans, to the character of Sonic. “He never gives up,” the rapper says. “I never believed in myself, so when I created the opportunity to believe I was my hero, my self-esteem jumped through the roof.” “The mixtape was basically me believing I'm Sonic,” Hamilton, who signed a deal with Republic and appeared in an episode of Empire last year, explains. He sampled everything Sonic-from the music that played over levels in 1991’s Sonic the Hedgehog and its 1992 sequel, to sound effects of Sonic grabbing bubbles of oxygen underwater or racing to finish a level before the game’s timer expired, to bits of the character’s self-titled 1993 Saturday morning cartoon show. In 2008, Hamilton released Sonic the Hamilton, a mixtape of tracks entirely inspired by Sega’s speedy mascot character. “Watching Sonic take over the world was all I needed to see to believe I could do anything.”Īlmost two decades after staring entranced at that demo reel, Hamilton landed major-label deals and magazine covers by fully incorporating Sonic the Hedgehog into his identity. All it took was the demo reel the iconic 1991 video game would run through when its main menu sat idle for long enough. Hamilton didn’t need to experience Sonic’s gameplay to fall in love. He was parked in front of the family TV, but a video game controller wasn’t even in his hands. Rapper Charles Hamilton was only three or four years old, growing up in Cleveland, when Sonic the Hedgehog took hold of him. The term JDM is an acronym and it means “Japanese domestic market”. So to avoid that, let’s delve into what these three letters mean, as well as providing you with some examples of JDM cars in the philippines. That said, many people are known to misuse the JDM moniker. You might have picked it up from memes like Ramon Bautista’s “JDM numbah wannnn!” or maybe from an image macro from sites like Japlopnik, Reddit, or even 4chan’s /o/ boards. Japanese stickers, by contrast, offer a chance for beauty within practical design - they also bring back a degree of humanity to our otherwise impersonal interactions on open roads. If you’re the type of car guy/gal who’s into what’s hip and cool in the car world, then you’ll have heard of JDM cars. Yet many of these solutions seem detached, designed to be pragmatic but lacking in delight and nuance. In other parts of the world, L (for learning) and P (for provisional) plates serve similar roles (specifics depending on the rules of the road in a given country). The old symbol - variously called the Momiji (“Autumn Leaf”), Kareha (“Dried Leaf”) or Ochiba (“ Fallen Leaf”) - was considered by some to be insulting. The system was instituted in 1997 but in 2011 the shape was changed from an orange-and-yellow teardrop to a four-leafed mark. The mark also gives drivers access to specially-designated parking spaces. Older drivers are encouraged to put an Korei Untensha Hyoshiki (“Aged Driver Sign”) on their cars when they reach age 70 and required to do so at age 75. The mark must be displayed for one year after a student receives their license but can be kept longer if the driver so desires.Īt the other end of the experience spectrum is the Koreisha (“Elderly Car”) mark, originally featuring autumnal oranges. Officially known as the Shoshin Untensha Hyoshiki (“Beginner Driver Sign”), this yellow-and-green emblem lets other drivers known to be cautious in the presence of a marked vehicle. Japan takes a more nuanced approach to indicating experience levels and, starting with the Shoshinsha or Wakaba (“Green Leaf”) mark. These are literal and blunt but also very limited - once the students take off their proverbial training wheels, these newly-licensed drivers suddenly go from being publicly singled out to blending completely into the crowd. While some features, like multiplayer and some characters, will not be available at the initial launch, what is available is very promising. Despite only being in early access, there is already a lot available just off of early gameplay footage. There is so much to look forward to in My Time At Sandrock for fans of crafting, farming, and simulation games. While not much else is known about the length of the game, players should expect to at least play beyond that marker, especially with the promise of hundreds of side quests to do. Previous gameplay demos have shown up to four hours of the game's story so far. Lastly, the game will have a story that will be taking place alongside the optional side-missions involving the townspeople. It is unknown if Multiplayer will be implemented before the game's full launch but considering how bad co-op is in Stardew Valley and other farming sims, the devs must take the time to get it right. While those that backed the game on Kickstarter were given access to multiplayer for testing, it will not be available yet for buyers of the early access title. While multiplayer and co-op are planned for My Time At Sandrock, they will not be available during early access and will be released later. While gunplay has not been shown in promotional materials, the melee combat appears fluid and possesses a simple amount of combos and tactics. Currently, there are four melee weapons available: the spear, daggers, greatsword, and sword and shield, along with a complement of guns. Weapons, equipment, and consumables can be crafted to give players an edge when fighting the various monsters of the desert. Players can now shift between melee combat and 3rd person shooting for a seamless transition in tactics. Additionally, several new minigames have been announced including dune buggy racing, sand fishing, and gun fighting.Ĭombat is revamped for My Time at Sandrock. Players may build romantic relationships with any of their potential love interests regardless of gender, keeping the LGBTQ-inclusive themes of its predecessor. As of now, there are 10 bachelors and 8 bachelorettes romanceable in-game. Romance will make a return to the My Time at Portia sequel, though fewer romanceable characters have been confirmed. Building relationships with the citizens of Sandrock will have tangible in-game effects including new missions, stat boosts, cheaper goods, and helping hands. My Time At Sandrock is expected to have over 30 characters by launch and most are reported to have character-specific questlines. Relationship building is expected to be a major part of the game. The axe chop is a light attack, which can be performed in a 2-hit combo, or a 3-hit combo and does small amounts of damage. The axe swing is the game's heavy attack: it takes a long time to perform, but does more damage than the axe chop.
