We showed up at the hotel at 3:40 pm and was told our room wasn't available yet. I arrived at the hotel with two friends as we were attending a concert that evening and wanted to stay in the Kansas City area after the concert. Hilton needs to send someone in to get this going!… Our family also stayed here one of their nights and their experience was exactly the same. The pool was closed which was one reason we chose this hotel with our grandkids and payed the higher cost of this hotel. I know a little about electricity and a breaker that keeps tripping off represents a real problem! There was no tissue in the rooms anywhere -empty containers. Really? So we did not do that, but kept tripping. We notified the desk but were told that is what happens sometimes if you plug in a cellphone charger to the lamp. And then the breaker kept tripping in the bedroom. So 2 nights with the city lights glaring in due to no way to drop the shades. The staff tried to help but could not figure out much. The breakfast choices were dismal and not up to the standards of a Hilton property or Home2 we have stayed at. The TV in both rooms said streaming but would not connect, and the cable tv had no way to know what channel was what and did not work at first either. Then, in our room (a one bedroom suite) we had old soap bars in the shower, tile falling off the wall, the window shades electronic buttons had the batteries stolen so they did not work. At check in we were told that the previous nights guests who were there for the Chiefs game "trashed" the place so it was hard to get rooms ready. This was NOT the case here in Overland Park KS. We have stayed in Home2 Hotels several times in other locations and found them to be quite nice.
